Question: Last minute travel plans for philippines?
I got a last minute air ticket to Philippines - arrive Fri 22 dec at Clark, depart fri 29 from Clark. Any suggestions for where to go and stay? I'd like a couple of days in Manilla, maybe visit Taal for one day, but I'd love to go to Boracay or another island where I can snorkel or dive for a few days. Is it possible in the time on a limited budget? Any other nice beaches for snorkelling nearer Manilla? If I go to Boracay is it better to fly or go by ferry? Can I book tickets at the airport when I arrive? Any good budget hotels you'd recommend?
Answer: Sounds like you have quite a plan. Sit down and make an intenerary. Boracay is the best beach in the Philippines. Cebu is also suppose to be nice. You'll probably have to fly.

Question: Cheapest last-minute travel from Boston to D.C.?
I'm having a family emergency and need to travel from Boston to D.C. ASAP. I'm searching the web for last-minute fares (train, bus, air) and the best I can do it a $108 fare on Amtrak if I leave in a few hours, but that's cutting it close. Anyone have a better idea? Thank you in advance.
Answer: You might be able to get a better deal on greyhound bus lines, but greyhound bus generally doesn't have the friendliest staff, and the greyhound station in Boston is in a safe area, but the Greyhound Station in DC is not in a safe area, so you would want to have somebody pick you up if you did choose to take the bus.
Question: What is the best way to get cheap airfare at the last minute?
I have to travel from seattle to st louis early next week. I am not used to air travel. Prices seem so much higher than if I could purchase a few weeks in advance. Is there a good way to find cheap tickets on such short notice? Thanks
Answer: Try this website:
http://www.YourTripStartsHere.com
They have some of the lowest rates available and it's very easy to use.
In fact, there are round-trip flights from Seattle to St. Louis this Monday for $355.
It's not too late to book. Have a great trip!
Question: What are your best tips for AIR TRAVEL?
Between last minute gate changes, extra security, working with the system, and everything you have to remember, what is your best advice for smooth travelling?
Answer: I travel alot (in the US).
If you are going on a long trip..more than 2 days...check as much of your luggage as possible.
That way you dont have to lug anything through the airport when changing flights.
Always keep an extra pair of socks, underwear a Clean T shirt your toothbrush and hair brush or comb(esentials). Do not carry on any liquids. This will just hold up the line at the security check point and you will have to throw away anything over 5oz anyway. Dont carry a lighter. That also holds up the line and will be thrown away. Wear comfortable and easy to take off shoes. You will have to run them through the Xray machine at security.
If there is a delay due to anything other than weather...Request compensation if they do not offer it. If the flight is cancelled or delayed due to weather...dont expect anything. When buying your ticket, be sure to request the seat you want...window or isle. If you dont there is no telling where you will end up. If your tall or bigger than average request the emergency door seat...those seats always have more room.
Sometimes you can upgrade to first class for a really cheap price at the gate right before boarding the plane. check with the airline when you check in. Bring a book, an ipod or something to do.I knock my self out with a valium and sleep like a baby the whole flight.
Go to the bathroom before you get on a flight. Airplane bathrooms are not fun and its a pain getting in and out of your seat smoothly. Also...bring a light jacket or sweater. Sometimes its really chilly on the plane especially if you are near the window or someone who needs to have air blowing on them. bring something to rest your head on as well. you arent garaunteed a pillow and remember how many head were there before yours. Changing flights can become a nightmare if your original flight is late. Make sure when you purchase your ticket that the lay over time in between flights is at least an hour and a half.
Good luck!
Question: Need 3 tickets for North Carolina to NYC next weekend, what website is king for CHEAP last minute air travel?!
THANK YOU KINDLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answer: There isn't one that is always "king" -- it depends on the particulars, and if an airline happens to have a sale with no advance purchase requirement, or if weekend fare sale for the route you need is being offered, or if you need hotel together with the flight.
To cover most of the bases efficiently (well and quickly), I'd use http://www.bookingbuddy.com -- enter cities and dates one time, then click the places you want it to check. It saves you having to find each site and type your info in over and over. I'd choose Priceline, Hotwire, Kayak, Yahoo Farechase, and Mobissimo for this itinerary. This will uncover regular and sale fares direct from airlines, as well as any "consolidators" that sometimes have long-distance flights on sale (not sure they'll have NC-NY, but checking won't take any extra time with Bookingbuddy).
If you need hotel or car together with flight, then http://us.lastminute.com/ is as close to "king" for last-minute as I know.
Sometimes airlines have weekend specials on select routes in the off-season. For these, check http://www.smartertravel.com/airfare/search/?type=departure
Question: Last last minute deals on air fare?
My wife and I would like to travel somewhere this weekend. She gets off of work today at 5pm and we are willing to go to the airport, with our bags packed and fly pretty much anywhere. I remember a long time ago, different flights would DEEPLY discount their tickets if you were there like an hour before take off. Do they still do that? Can anyone recommend how I could go about getting the cheapest flight prices for this weekend?
Answer: no way , you can check travel zoo.com for some last minutes netfare( $200 to 400), but don't expect deep discounts.
Question: My license was stamped by the HWY patrol but it's not expired. Can I use it to travel by air still as ID?
I'm leaving town in the morning last minute and don't have time to get an ID card issued, can I still use my current license even though it has been stamped by the state patrol? I'm flying from WA to Vegas.
Answer: As long as it is not expired I would think so. I live in WA and I've never heard of the WSP 'stamping' a driver's license.
Really, what the TSA agents are looking for is that your name on your ID matches that of your ticket and that the ID isn't expired.
Contrary to what many people will tell you, it is possible to fly without a ID, you just have to under go additional screening. Worst comes to worst, you will have to go through additional screening.
And the above poster is incorrect. Passports are only valid for 10 years, after which they need to be renewed.
