Question: What are some great european travel tour groups??
I want to go travel Europe by myself and I thought maybe tour group would be the best way. Any helpful tips or good guides?
Answer: If you want to travel alone, or with a few friends, the Lonely Planet series are the best books, (I think and many others here also advise using them.)
If you want a guided tour, I have no experience with them, but I recently found a website that has many listed.
If the links do not get you to the information you want, search for them with the names you find on this page:

Question: Anyone know of any good European Travel Tours? We live in the Chicagoland area.?
My husband and I want to visit Europe next spring. Italy, Greece, France...niether of us speak any of those languages so we were wondering if a European tour would be the best route to see as much as possible in two weeks.
Answer: I've used EF and had a positive experience. That was about 12 years ago. We were supposed to travel with Milestone, and the director stole everyone's money and fled to England. We were in the paper, I made the cover of the Pioneer Press and was interviewed by Kathy Brock. EF saw us (we were all students) on TV and contacted us. They helped us, and that I'll never forget. If it's your first time, go with a tour.
Question: European travel?
I would like to go to Europe next year with my 18 year old daughter. For someone who's never been outside the US, what do you suggest for us? We have about 14-16 days and have looked at different tour companies, but I'm just really confused. Because I have cousins in the Netherlands, I was thinking about making sure the trip included several days there, but otherwise, I'm not sure. I love history, but I think if I spend too many days in a large city (London, Paris, etc.) I'll go crazy. I love countryside too.... any good suggestions for a nice mixture?
Answer: If you like countryside and want to see beautiful small towns I will recommend Italy or Spain. In Spain start with Barcelona and in Italy with Rome or Venice. In Italy you can take tours to small towns in Umbria or the Venneto. A visit to Sienna and Pompeii shall be in your itinerary. In Spain I will Recommend a tour to Andorra,in the Pyrenees, Toledo and Segovia.
Question: Help with a business name! - Travel Agency specialising in European tours?
I'm writing a business plan for Uni and need some help with a business name... It is a travel agency that targets over 50year olds, retirees etc they specialise in providing pre packaged tours in Europe. Any help would be much appriciated!! :):) thanks...
Answer: Here's what I tell my clients to do. Invite over about ten of your best friends for a wine tasting party at your house early in the evening and make sure you have a designated driver or two. After everyone has had a glass or two, and start to giggle tell them you are looking for a name for your over fifty travel agency business.
You'd be surprised at how creative they become. The more they giggle the more chance there is of something very good coming out of it.
Get several names you like because the challenge will be to find a name that is also available as a web site name. The moment you settle on something, do a search at http://www.godaddy.com to see if the name is available. If you are very lucky and it is, available, buy it immediately. The price is usually less than $10 and you’ll own it for at least a year.

Question: Any travel agent to tour Europe? I am lazy to book flights and accomondations by myself.I'd like to join a
travel agent and tour around major cities in Europe for one or two weeks. However,I heard the group tours use bus as main transportation tool, that is slow and uncomfortable. Could please share with me if you know some good agents that offer European group tour by flights mainly (involving some train and bus travel is ok). Besides, which way is more cost efficient, group tour or F&E (assume all the travel and accomondations are same)? If I have to go for F&E, how many days will it cost me (minimum) to have a compact tour in London + Paris +Melan+ Rome+Amsterdam+ Swiss+ Berlin? Any other places or cities you strongly recommend? Thanks very much for your time and happy new year.
Answer: www.lastminute.com

Question: Contiki Tours How is the Company for a European Trip Thinking about the European Discovery Tour Any Suggest?
I have looked online and have had a mix of good and bad reviews and great and horrible reviews, can anyone tell me what they think. My main concern was hearing that the hotels were dirty and very far from main attractions?? I would be staying in what they call their superior tourist hotels, whatever that means doesnt tell the exact hotel? Anyone traveled with any other company and if so which is better?
Answer: The positives are that their tours are fairly inexpensive, and do hit the major highlights of Europe.
I agree that the hotels tend to be very basic (not dirty but very small, plain rooms) and poorly located, and another negative is that they tend to only spend 1-2 days in each place so you will have time for the most famous sights and that's about it.
Unless you are very set on taking a tour you should consider traveling independently. It's very easy to get around Western Europe on your own, even if you don't speak any European languages, and it would probably be cheaper than Contiki or another tour company.
Question: What is the best european winter tour to do?
im 25 and will be travelling by myself, not really interested in contiki.. what is another good tour group? has anyone ever done kamuka winter tours??
Answer: As Switzerland is mountainous, there are plentiful of interesting and adventurous activities such as skiing, hiking, hot-air balloon activities. A famous resort having these activities is the Château-d’Oex, which is nestled in a valley in the Alps. Château-d'Oex the capital of the district of Pays-d'Enhaut.
