Question: Which more central for shopping only in New York, Holiday Inn express 5th Avenue 45th street versus 57th stree
Just wondering travelling to New York in February 2008 and need to book a hotel for 3. for 4 days. It will be a shopping trip only and need to find the most central hotel. The Holiday Inn Express 5th Avenue 45th Street or the Holiday Inn on 57th Street or any other central hotel, budget style and clean. The two hotels are very different prices?????? Can anybody offer some advice.
Answer: Getting around NYC is so easy...that you can pretty much stay at any hotel along 5th ave or a few blocks in.
57th and upward blocks (upper east side) ---have high fashion shops---gucci, prada, ralph lauren, etc...
45th is in the mid-town section....you will still find some high end shops around here....but common stores are more popular here...gap, express, j.crew, anthropologie
even further downtown....is the garment district and soho....soho has some wonderful trendy shops plus more common such as urban outfitters, gap.
So what i would do is get the better priced hotel...save money so you can use it for shopping....subways and taxis make it possible to go anywhere really quickly.
Even walking from 45th to 57th is not a big deal...when you are walking and shopping....you can walk 20 blocks easily without realizing how much you walked.
Question: Need to cancel reservation from web travel?
reservation with holiday inn express through web travel
Answer: If you would like to cancel your reservation, I would suggest contacting the corporation you first made the reservation with. If the phone number/e-mail address is not listed, you can search for it at www.yellowpages.com!

Question: How Should We Tour From Phoenix To Grand Canyon On 3-5 Day Trip?
We will actually be in Phoenix, AZ in June first for a 4 day convention and then we'd like to take another 3-5 days for fun R & R and exploration of Arizona. We definitely want to see the Grand Canyon. Any other suggestion? If possible we'd like to rent an RV at least for 2 days or so during this time. Could see Sedona in addition to Grand Canyon and maybe somewhere else? What about:Trail Rides? Cowboy Cookout? Float Tours? Williams to GC Train Ride? Williams Campground or hotel? Most campsites within the GC park are booked but the Maswich Lodge still has vacancy. Just in case, we tentatively booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in GC near the entrance gates. Feel free to play "Travel Agent here! Would like to hear any helpful advice or itineraries you can think of.
Answer: You have picked great places to visit! Rent an RV or a car and get a road map. Off you go. Have a wonderful time. If you have never seen the Grand Canyon, your in for an awe inspiring experience
Question: Scabies or bed bugs?
My parents travel all summer and are in a lot of hotel rooms. My mother woke up 2 days ago with 20+ bites on her forearms. I haven't seen the bites, but she says they have little blisters around the edges of the bites. They started out like a mosquito bite and are now the size of a dime. She went to the doctor, he scraped the bites for a culture and told her she has a mite...the doctor wastn't sure what kind of mite and said it favored a flea, but that it was definantly not a flea. He put her on a very stong medicine that is for parasites and told her that will take car of it. My question: Could this be bed bugs, ones that just hatched? If not what else could it be? Scabies? BTW...they were in a holiday inn express.
Answer: If it was scabies the Doctor should have been able to diagnose it, If not she needs to see another doctor for a second opinion. Scabies are treatable with a cream that the doctor gives you.
Question: Which of these do you think would be the best hotel?
I don't travel much, but i am heading down to visit colleges tonight so i need to stay somewhere, if anyone has had experiences with any of these hotels and could give me a top 2 or 3 out of them, and maybe ones to avoid i would appreciate it. Any other info is appreciated, if you thought the price was fair, clean rooms, nice staff, etc.
Thanks so much!
L.A Pittenger Student Center Hotel
Fairfield Inn by Marriott
Comfort Inn
Day's Inn
Super 8 Motel
Hampton Inn
Holiday Inn Express
Best Western
Signature Inn
Lee's Inn
Answer: I have stayed at Fairfield Inn by Marriott, Comfort Inn, Day's Inn, Super 8 Motel, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Best Western. They are all fine, and I would choose whichever one is offering the best rate for what you need. If you are interested also check which ones are offering full breakfast as part of the package (often that would be Marriott and Holiday Inn), because that might make those ones a better deal. I never consider free continental breakfast in the calculations, as those breakfasts often leave a little to be desired
Question: Stansted Airport to Hammersmith?
What is the cheapest form of transport for 3 15yr olds travelling from stansted airport to Express by holiday inn. Or what would the cheapest taxi fare be?
Answer: It would be cheaper for you to use public transport - take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street (£26 for an open return ticket) then get on the Underground in Liverpool Street, use the Hammersmith & City line to get to Hammersmith. This link will take you to information on the London Underground & fares, even if you only get single fares to Hammersmith, it should cost £4: http://www.ukstudentlife.com/Travel/Transport/London/Underground.htm
