Question: I am looking to fly to costa rica in spring, where can i find the best deal?
I am a student, I live in San Francisco, i can travel any time from february-march. Are there any specific student travel agencies that specialize in costa rica/international travel? Thanks.
Answer: Hey dude, Just make sure you do the research as far as the weather is concerned..dont want to be caught there during the rainy season. When I went I just researched through orbit/expedia and called the hotels direct. They should have someone that speaks English. Costa Rica has a few regions (north, south, etc) so research were ou want to go. Hot spots are Qpes and the surronunding area. laya Dominical is a surf town..you have a few choices - bottom line you'll love it.
Question: How I can find best travel deal for africa, australia/new zeland and costa rica?

Question: Which part of Costa Rica should I go if I want to see the best rainforest and a fishing trip?
Okay, I've posted a few questions here today and so far I've made up my mind as to what I want to do in Costa Rica. Since my travel time is rather limited - 5 days. I would like to see the best rainforest if possible, and to join a fishing trip. Can anyone tell me where I can get the best deal on both and where to stay. My main concern is my budget. I've looked into a few CR fishing trips and they cost a ton, somewhere in the $700 USD range? This is outragously high! Is this possible? I'm not looking into something fancy at all just a ordinary fishing trip. So to sum it all up, where I should stay to cut down my travel time and at the same time be able to do both and still have time to see more? How far is San jose to Quepos? I've found tons of great hotel deal in San Jose but don't know how difficult to go from SJ to Quepos. Some day Quepos is the best and SJ for more for business travelers? I have 5 days 4 night. Please help!
Answer: Try to find a job to do on your trip. Something legal that will pay for a hotel room.
Question: Would it be cheaper to buy a Costa Rica vacation package from Hotels.com or separately?
I'm planning a short trip to Costa Rica for about 5-6 days. Would it be cheaper to buy a vacation package deal from hotels.com or buy airfare separately online and then book hotels locally when I get there? Where would be a good and cheap place to stay in San Jose and Quepos? What are the availability around this time of year? What is the best traveling method from San Jose to Quepos?
Answer: Go to
www.ilovecostarica.com for info.... or
www.truecostarica.com loads of info available.
I saw book a package deal, especially cheaper if you want to actually tour the countryside....there are some wonderful deals for just under $1,000 for 10 days including tours throughout the country, meals and hotels throughout the country. You get to see the sites, taste the foods and stay at more than one hotel/villa! I have friends in San Jose and hope to go down for a visit next spring - stay with them some, but plan to take a package tour also...Have fun!
Question: Flights from Washington DC area to Liberia, Costa Rica?
My son and his wife to be want to go on honeymoon to Liberia, Costa Rica. The flights I see from the DC area (or even Philly), are up to 28 hours travel time or leaving at 6 AM. Are there hub airports on the east coast that are better than others and also are there days to fly where we may get better deals? They get married the night of Sat Oct 4 so would leave Sunday midday or Monday for a week. Thanks
Answer: I'd check all the major airlines.....Also, check Champion Air..They fly into Liberia and have fantastic prices..... Also, TACA and Mexicana Air......Also, are you sure about the 28 hours???? That seems like a lot of hours to me....It's only about 3 hours to Houston Tx from SanJose C.R.
Question: Univeristy students planning a trip to Costa Rica or DR?
Me and my friends are trying to plan a trip to Costa Rica or DR for this summer... (something all inclusive of course)... are there any travel agencies (Walk-ins or Online.. doesn't really matter) that have really good all-inclusive deals for really cheap?? If so can you post them? =) Thanks
Answer: I've been to both places and I would HIGHLY recommend Costa Rica over DR !!! Costa Rica is ALOT more tourist friendly and SAFE !!! DR is a terribly impoverished country and once you leave the resort grounds, you won't feel safe AT ALL . . . and I'm from DETROIT !!! I've now been back to Costa Rica twice and would never return to DR.
There's alot of beautiful places in the world, but what makes a country truly beautiful are it's people . . . and the people of Costa Rica add to the natural beauty of the country. The people of DR detract from it.
Question: A complicated question: Next week my Husband, 12-week-old son & I are going to San Jose, Costa Rica?
My husband is going to San Jose, Costa Rica for work.
The babe and I are tagging along for some low key adventures and will spend most days on our own 'touristing' in San Jose and the surrounding areas.
I have travelled extensively - alone and with other "grown ups". Historically, I have recieved a lot of attention in certain cultures... I am blonde/blue, 6' tall and busty. With out being crass, I am sometimes tremendously 'popular' with guys that like to spell out current deficiencies in thier sex lives (e.g. the lack of a six foot blonde.)
Normally I am quite comfortable and confident in my own abillity to deal with the chatter and even the occaisional physical advance that needs to be rebuffed. However I am concerned to be potentially placed in these situations with my boy.
Trust me, I am not heading out at night, going to bars or wearing a mini-anything. With wedding band firmly attached and cool head on my shoulders, am I going to have problems?
Answer: just don't travel alone. i believe you'll do tours with other people... just relax and enjoy. as you said... you are not coming down here to go to bars or clubs. take care'
Question: How does the travel agent process work?
I'm just curious how the process with a travel agent works.
I have found some pretty decent deals online for my trip to Costa Rica. I am curious if a travel agent can get me a better deal.
Am I able to go to a travel agent and get an estimate on what prices I'm looking at for tickets, hotels, etc., or do I have to sign up with one with a promise to pay their fee before I can hear what the trip will cost? I just don't want to get stuck paying someone extra for the same price I could find online.
Answer: Hello,
How are you? I am a travel agent http://www.cassandralanetravel.org
I don't charge any extra fee-just pay for the cost of your trip.
Question: Choosing where to travel to.?
Ok, so in my family we alternatve between who picks our vacation spots (it goes my sister, my mom, me), and now it's my turn (as in,picking for next summer, this summer was supposed to be my turn but I was away at camp for about a month and a half, before I went I'd thought it would be longer, so I never planned anything). I'd like to point out, I'm not picking my travel destination based on what you say, but I am expecting helpful advice and such.
Anyway, I wanna go somewhere out of the continent, and I've narrowed it down to a few choices. Also, I want the weather to be fairly comfortable (nothing higher than 80 degrees Fahrenheit as the high), so if you have anything to say about the weather please do (of these places or others). I do realize weather may deviate, but the highest high here for summer is costa rica at 79, and I know it could go into the 80s, but as long as the average day isn't 80+, that's fine. Germany, Ireland, England, Scotland, Costa Rica, Peru, Australia, and Amsterdamn/Brussels/luxembourg (I know the former 2 are cities, but this is the trip's city itinerary).
Most of the places on this list speak a language that isn't english as the primary language. So, we'd be traveling with a group (however, I'd probably travel with a group to these places anyway, because the group I'm looking at offers trips to all these places, and it'd be easier because they cover all the hard stuff, and they're very good deals.
So, when I go on vacation, I like to Learn about history of alot of stuff, the buildings architecture, general history/folklore/mythology, important events, etc. And/or do things which I can't normally do at home, or just fun stuff which I have little oppurtunity to do, swimming in warm weather, windsurfer, snorkeling, etc.
Feel free to offer criticism/positive comments about these places, and also feel free to suggest other place (and why).
Also, feel free to share travel-groups, which take care of everything. IDK if you can though, because that could fall under advertising..so yeah.
Answer: Costa Rica would be beautiful! Greece is a great choice as well (I'm planning to live there). Also, a cruise would be a ton of fun! You can go to a different country while on one and stop off at ports, take tours of the area, and learn about the history or go shopping. Cruises usually stop 8 times, but it depends on how long you stay. Have a fun time!
Question: Will I have fun in Bermunda?
So I was looking for a good last minute deal for this weekend and booked a weekend trip to Bermuda. I just needed to get away for a weekend. Have had a pretty tough and stressful 9 months. I Think its a pretty good deal (3 nights hotel + flight for $430) Good deal, average or did I just get owned by travelocity?
I am 23/male and will be staying at Grape Bay Beach Hotel. I have never been to Bermuda, let alone on a vacation alone but I love to party and will talk to pretty much anyone. I have travel experience including a 7 week long volunteer-tourism in Costa Rica. But I've heard mixed reviews about Bermuda.
Does anyone know about the hotel I'm staying at? Any suggestions on places to go, things to do etc in Bermuda....And most importantly....WILL I HAVE FUN?
Answer: no
