Question: I want to travel to France, and I am extremely flexible with times is there any way to get astounding deals?
I want to take a trip to France (coming from Chicago) sometime next year (in the winter, in the spring, summer) whenever. Since I'm so flexible with the times that I want to travel is there anyway to get astounding deals on airfare? Since basically I'll travel whenever. Thanks!

Answer: Since your travel is flexible, I would suggest comparing prices with the many online travel websites. There are always deals, its just hard to guess which one will have the best deals! If you can do last minute travel, that can often get you a great price. Also, try a one-way there and back, sometimes that can save money over booking a round-trip. Try this website: www.everydaytravelconnections.com Have a great trip!

Question: Do you know of any online good hotel and flight deals to France?
Do you know of any cheap and good travel deals online where I can find get the flight and hotel included?

Answer: Both Easyjet and Ryanair are able to offer flight & hotel deals, between them covering all the popular areas of France, using in excess of 20 airports. Choose where you fancy, then visit their sites to see who flies to that area. Easyjet also have "deals of the day", which may appeal. P.S. Also from Tues. 17th. for 48 hrs, Easyjet have an extra discount on all holidays, varying from 10% -50%. Have just had this in an e-mail from them.

Question: Since history has vindicated Chirac's anti-war position, should Bush travel to France to apologize?
The Bush administration and the Republican party whipped up a great deal of anti-France bigotry and hysteria at the start of the Iraq war. We now know that Chirac made the right call however.

Now that we know the truth about WMD, America has turned against the war, and the war itself is lost...isn't it time for Bush to apologize to the French in person?

Answer: The people who engaged in the whole anti-France tirade reminded me of some petulent little brats who don't like to be told "no". Waaaaah~~

Who's right now Biotches???

oh and BTW, all you self righteous pricks who want to claim that the French are so cowardly and how everyone would be speaking German if it wasn't for us need to get over yourselves. The only war any of you wingnuts would go near would be the "war on Christmas" (tm) and FYI morons, if it wasn't for France's help during the Revolutionary war, we would all still be saying "God save the Queen" so take your self-righteousness and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Answer: Yeah, you can rent your car at www.hertz.com! It is a huge rental car service ... and you can find it all over Europe! You can get your car in France and return in it England - it's gonna be a little bit expensive but you can do that!

Question: Traveling between Italy and France Xmas time 2006?
I will arrive in Rome Dec. 17th this year and stay until Jan. 4th. I plan to spend time in both Italy and France and travel all around. What would be the best transport option? I'll meet my boyfriend either in France (where he lives) or Italy and travel to several cities together in both countries ending back at Rome to fly out. Traveling cheaply comes over traveling comfortably. Is it better to find a cheap flight to Paris to meet him and pay for other train rides individually. Or is the Europass a better deal if if we plan to go to many cities within the 2 weeks?

Answer: If it turns out that you need to travel from Rome to France to meet your BF, flying is likely to be the cheapest way to go.

When both of you are travelling together, don't overlook the possibility of renting a car so you can go wherever you want and see whatever sounds interesting.

Good luck and have fun!

Question: What are some sites where I can find good deals on airline tickets to France in December?
I looked at Expedia, Travelocity, HotWire and Priceline but ticket prices are $1600+. I always thought traveling to Europe in the winter was cheaper?

I was looking to go to Nice in early December, one way, because I don't know when I'd be coming back. And I was either looking at flying to Nice or flying to Paris and taking the Euro-rail because I thought it might be a cheaper option, seeing as how there are probably more flights to Paris daily then to Nice. But apparently the price doesn't change. I searched for a flight for a Tuesday because I think in the middle of the week tickets are cheaper?

Does anyone know of any sites that offer cheap ticket prices and any other tips to lower the fare?

Answer: For one-way international flights, consolidators are usually cheapest. You can try some at http://www.bookingbuddy.com -- such as Cheaptickets, CheapO, via Mobissimo, etc. Other good ones not on Bookingbuddy: Flights.com, Airdeals.com, Economytravel.com, Justfares.com, Travelteam.com. (I'm assuming you need departure from somewhere US or Canada?).

Be aware that you can not legally enter on a one-way ticket without European passport, or proof of onward travel outside of Schengen within 90 days. If questioned for it at check in and/or arrival, you need to have it in-hand. A Ryanair or Easyjet flight to the UK or Switzerland, for example, or a seat reservation for your Eurail pass out of Schengen-land before 90 days, should suffice (since CH or UK are part of Schengen border agreement).
