Question: What is a great deal for annual travel insurance in Europe?
I'm looking for annual travel insurance that's quite affordable. I'm living in the UK and am staying here for another 6-7 months, my travel insurance i had has expired and I don't want to go with them as I believe they're a bit too expensive. It's only for travel in Europe with no skiing involved, but scuba diving probably. I'm 28 years old. Do most travel insurances cover loss or theft of electronic items?

Answer: log onto moneysupermarket and they will find the best deals

I needed somewhere where i could find all deals and compare. Didn't know about this site. Thanks.

Question: I'm a uk resident living in Turkey. Where can I get an annual travel insurance policy?
which covers my return flights to the uk and travel around Turkey?

Answer: Try the local auto club ( RAC, AA ) in England, ( AIT ) in Turkey; I live in Switzerland and I am in the TCS ( Touring Club Swiss ) and I have an ETI travel insurance with them which covers me or my family any where in Europe ( the world for a bit extra ) whether I / we drive fly or train , it costs me about $70 for my membership and $60 for the ETI but it is well worth it as it is for all year and not just a couple of weeks like in England. Hope this helps.

Question: What’s the difference between a single trip vs annual travel insurance policy? Why would you buy either one?
Travel insurance policies come in all shapes and sizes. What are the pros and cons of single trip or annual policies? Why would a person opt to buy one over the other?

Yahoo! Canada Answers Staff note: This question is asked by Gregory Ellis, co-founder of the the insurance shopping service kanetix.ca (http://www.kanetix.ca/YAHOO_answers).

Answer: If you are talking about Travel Health insurance, single trip insurance costs slightly less than annual insurance.

If you travel more than once per year, this could include business AND personal travel, you would be wise to look at annual insurance. It allows you to be away from your home province and still have medical coverage you won't be out of pocket for (except for perhaps a small deductable).

You can choose the maximum amount of days you will be out of the country per year and if that may be exceeded you can top up the amount of insurance to the maximum allowable days you are allowed out of your province by your Provincial Health Care Plan (Generally they are about 130 - 160 dyas per calendar year).

The reason you want travel insurance is because your Provincial Helath plan only pays so much and if you have a catastrophy while travelling you will not be released until you pay the hospital bill (In the US, for example, that can be etrememly expensive, roughly $20,000 per day for uninsured patients).
